Non-Medicare Coverage
Under Medicare guidelines, chiropractic spinal manipulation (adjustments) is considered a covered service when specific criteria are met. Because Thrive Chiropractic Laser Clinic does not bill Medicare, chiropractic adjustments are non-covered services when performed at this office.
Patients with Medicare coverage who wish to receive chiropractic adjustments must acknowledge that these services are non-covered in this clinical setting.
Services That May Still Be Provided to Medicare Patients. Importantly, Medicare regulations apply specifically to chiropractic
spinal manipulation-not to the full range of conservative care services offered at Thrive.
Medicare patients may still receive non-manipulative services when clinically appropriate, including but not limited to:
- Class IV Laser Therapy
- Spinal Decompression with Flexion-Distraction technique
- Therapeutic stretching and strengthening exercises
- Soft tissue modalities
- Movement-based rehabilitation and digital home exercise programming
These services are considered non-covered by Medicare and may be provided on a self-pay basis, following transparent discussion and consent.
Transparency, Choice, and Informed Consent Before initiating care, all Medicare patients receive a clear explanation of:
- Which services are considered non-covered in this office
- Applicable self-pay fees
- Available treatment options aligned with their goals and comfort level
Patients are never obligated to proceed with care and are encouraged to ask questions at any point to ensure full understanding before services are rendered.
