At Thrive Chiropractic & Laser Clinic, clinical decisions are guided by evidence, individual presentation, and thoughtful evaluation-not routine or automatic imaging.
Modern, evidence-informed chiropractic standards recognize that X-rays are not required for every patient or every condition. In many cases, a comprehensive history, physical examination, orthopedic and neurological testing, and functional movement assessment provide the necessary information to develop a safe and effective plan of care.

X-rays are not performed in-office at Thrive Chiropractic & Laser Clinic and are not part of the routine new patient process.
This approach allows us to:
- Avoid unnecessary radiation exposure
- Base care decisions on meaningful clinical findings
- Reduce added cost, time, and complexity for patients
When imaging is clinically indicated-such as in cases involving trauma, red-flag symptoms, complex or atypical presentations, or a lack of expected progress-we will clearly explain the clinical reasoning and coordinate referral to a trusted medical imaging provider for appropriate diagnostic studies.
Patients who have existing or recent imaging are encouraged to bring those records to their appointment, as prior studies can often provide valuable insight and help prevent unnecessary duplication.
If imaging is requested by the patient or required prior to initiating certain aspects of care, Thrive Chiropractic & Laser Clinic will assist with appropriate referrals and ensure that all imaging decisions are made transparently, collaboratively, and in the patient’s best interest.
Our commitment is to provide thoughtful, responsible care-using imaging when it adds clinical value and avoiding it when it does not-while always prioritizing patient safety, clarity, and long-term outcomes.
